EBis was mentioned in the Cessna Pilot Association's email on March 22:
Your FBO has got to see this...
Michael Lentini, the owner of Aero-West Specialties one of the FBOs here at Santa Maria, has spent the last year working on an electronic shop management system for his business. The system he has developed works so well that other shops want it. To meet this demand Aero-West is marketing the program under the name of EBis. I have seen this system work and it is really slick. It prints and tracks work orders; compares estimated labor against actual labor; keeps a work order history on each aircraft, and much, much more.
The feature I like the most is, the mechanics can log on and off a job right from alongside the aircraft, which makes for extremely accurate time accounting. If mechanic A is called off working on your aircraft for 15 minutes to help mechanic B to jack an aircraft, you won't get billed for that time.
If you operate an aircraft maintenance facility you should look at this system. If the shop that does your maintenance seems like it could handle processing of work orders better, suggest that they look at this system. All the details including a complete list of EBis, views of screen shots and a download of a fully functional demo copy of EBis are available at the Aero-West Specialties web site.
